Pilates, Skincare & Wellness: A Conversation with Paula Landron

Paula Landron is a wellness event producer, fitness instructor, and breathwork facilitator. She holds a bachelor's degree in Psychology from the University of Miami. ALBION recently partnered with Paula for one of her Pilates & Skincare events, where each participant received a bottle of Flora Drip essence.

Hi Paula, we loved being part of your recent Pilates event! Can you tell us more about yourself and your journey in the wellness industry?

Thank you! I’ve been in the fitness industry for over 10 years. My journey started with teaching Zumba, and over time, I developed my own method, The Deep Method, which combines HIIT and meditation. I’m originally from Puerto Rico and created the island’s first fitness festival, Bootylicious. I also launched my own fitness product, Deep Bands. Over the years, my career evolved from fitness instructor to wellness event producer. Through my company, Mindset Events, I focus on creating transformative wellness experiences for corporations and world-class instructors.

What drew you to Pilates, and what makes it special for you?

I discovered Pilates after experiencing severe burnout after getting poisoned with Ciguatera (a rare type of food poisoning caused by contaminated fish). For three months, I couldn’t move due to severe joint pain, let alone engage in high-intensity workouts. Pilates became my refuge during this time, and I fell in love with how it helped me reconnect with my body and regain balance.

You often talk about Pilates and skincare on social media. How do you see the connection between the two?

Pilates aligns the body—improving posture, increasing mobility, and making you feel amazing overall. Skincare does the same for me on a different level—it aligns and refreshes my mind and body, helping me feel ready to take on the day.

Could you share your personal skincare routine with our readers?

My routine is simple but incredibly effective. I start my day by cleansing with One Skin cleanser. Next, I apply ALBION Flora Drip essence and do a gua sha massage. I’m obsessed with this essence that I use like a serum—it’s lightweight, gentle, and never causes breakouts. Then, I apply Dr. Jart’s eye cream. After my shower, I finish with One Skin’s moisturizer and eye cream.

Do you have any skincare tips for our readers?

Nourish your skin from within! Eat well, limit alcohol and caffeine, as they can impact your skin. Also, don’t fear the sun—it’s my personal opinion, but a little sunshine can do wonders for your overall wellness (just make sure you wear SPF!).

Congratulations on becoming a mom to twins! You must be busy! What are your top three wellness priorities—habits you always maintain or avoid?

Thank you! My top wellness habits are simple but essential:

  1. Gua sha massage—I do it every day.
  2. Daily walks—they help me reset and recharge.
  3. Five minutes of meditation—even while feeding my babies.

Also, a hot shower is a must. I make it a point to carve out a moment for myself every day.

What sets ALBION skincare apart, and why would you recommend it?

It’s all about the formulation. Flora Drip essence has been a game-changer for me—it’s lightweight, clean, and gentle. Unlike other essences or serums, it never causes breakouts. The glow it gives my skin is unmatched. I genuinely recommend it to anyone looking to elevate their skincare routine.

Is there anything else you’d like to share about wellness, skincare, or your life approach in general?

Keep it simple. If there's one thing motherhood has taught me, it’s that simple, sustainable habits and routines are the ones that last.
